CTD arrests terrorist planning to kill Chinese doctor from Gulistan-e-Johar

On Thursday, the Sindh Police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a suspected terrorist. The CTD claimed that the terrorist allegedly planned to kill a Chinese dentist. According to the CTD spokesperson, an operation was carried out in Gulistan-e-Johar by the CTD and the federal intelligence agency on receiving information about the suspect.

The terrorist is identified as Afzal Lund Alias Aafi and is a member of the Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA).

The CTD confiscated a motorcycle, a 30-bore pistol, and 5-round magazines. The department added that the suspect admitted to having connections with Zulfiqar Khaskheli, Chief of SRA. Lund added that he had received financial aid from Zulfiqar and bought ammunition and a vehicle. CTD said that Afzal had completed the recce but was arrested before he could kill the doctor.
