Cricket Australia’s delegation arrives in Karachi

KARACHI: A four-member delegation of Cricket Australia has landed here on Tuesday to inspect the security and logistics arrangements, and Covid-19 protocols.

The delegation will visit Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. It will first check the arrangements at the National Stadium Karachi, following which it will leave for Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Led by security experts, the delegation will also monitor the security situation of the Pakistan-West Indies matches to be played at the NSK on December 13 and 14.

Representing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Director International Cricket Zakir Khan and Director Security Col. (R) Asif will accompany the delegation. The delegation will present its report to Cricket Australia at the end of its tour.

Australia’s men’s cricket team is set to tour to Pakistan in March, April next year. Australia will play three Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and one T20I on their tout to Pakistan.

Australia have not toured Pakistan since 1998.
