Covid-19 cases fall below 500 for first time in nearly three months

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest numbers released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the number of Covid-19 cases has fallen below 500 for the first time in nearly three months.

The country has reported 462 Covid-19 positive cases of the total 31,201 tested. The positivity rate stands at 1.48 per cent in Pakistan at the moment. Lowest number of deaths was also recorded in over two months, with Pakistan reporting only two Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The number of critical care patients stand at 577 at the moment, down from 600 a day earlier. Meanwhile, Dawn has reported that the government was seriously considering to shutting down the NCOC, giving the responsibility to look after the daily number of cases and the Covid-related progress to National Institute of Health, Centres for Disease Control.
