Karachi: The Citizens Police Liaison Committee report has unveiled that over 80 citizens got killed over resisting robbery in the city of Quaid. According to the report, during the first seven months of 2023, street crimes soared to 52,000 (these are the numbers from January 01 to July 31 2023).
Citizens Police Liaison Committee report stated that 16,000 citizens got robbed and 80 got killed during resisting robbery. In the seven-month period of 2023, 33,798 motorcycles and 2,296 cars were stolen or snatched.
A few weeks back, a security guard of a petrol pump was shot to death as he resisted the robbery. The horrific incident occurred in the Sher Shah Gulbai area. The CCTV footage showed that the robber tried to snatch the weapon of guard and opened fire when he resisted.
