ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Ashfaq Ahmed visited the Pak-Iran border. The chairman gave the assurance of rejuvenating the Pak-Iran trade by reopening the borders, and eradicating legal hurdles in way of the trade.
During his visit, he was accompanied by Member Policy Dr Saeed Jadoon, Chief Collector Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq, and Collector Customs Rashid Habib. The representative of the National Logistics Cell Major Asad briefed Dr Ahmed regarding trade activities from both states.
Chairman FBR told the delegation of Iran that he would provide them with all the required support. He assured them that the federal government would intervene regarding trade policies. He also directed Customs’ Chief Collector to sort out the issues at operational level.
Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani had instructed Dr Ahmed to visit the border and foresee the situation personally.
