Blast at Kabul’s military hospital kill three and injure 16

KABUL: A blast at the entrance of Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan, a military hospital, killed three and injured 16 here on Tuesday.

According to the residents, back-to-back blasts along with gunshots were heard. The injured patients have been taken to Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital and Afghanistan Emergency Hospital.

So far, no one has claimed the responsibility of the blast. However, it is believed that the militant Islamic State (IS) group is involved in the attack which had previously attacked a 400-bed hospital, killing around 30 people.

The footage of the bombing area shared by the residents shows huge clouds of smoke.
