A sparkling opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2022 was held last night at Birmingham. The games are scheduled to run from July 28 – August 8.
Women cricket has been included in the Commonwealth Games. Pakistan’s Women Team captain Bismah Maroof was the flag-bearer and led the Pakistani contingent at the Commonwealth Games.
She later tweeted an image of her holding the Pakistan flag and said that she “had tears with a smile and goosebumps with a lot of excitement”.
