KARACHI: On Tuesday, the crypto exchange firm Binance assured full support to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Earlier, the FIA had announced an in-depth investigation into the $100 million scam.
According to the notice issued to the crypto exchange company, the apps involved in the scam were identified as TASTOK, UG, BX66, AVG86C, BBoo1, OKIMINI, FXCOPY, HTFOX, HFC, and MCX. The notice demanded an explanation from Binance regarding its stance and relation with the fraud.
Head of FIA CyberCrime Sindh Imran Riaz said that a telephonic conversation was held with Binance on Friday. A two-member committee has been established by Binance, which is related to the US Department of Treasury. An official from the FIA said that Binance has assured complete cooperation. The response was appreciated by the FIA.
