Rain reigns supreme on a damp day; Azhar, Babar reach fifties

Pak Ban Day 2 2nd Test

DHAKA: The second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh has only seen 63 overs of action across two days. Pakistan won the toss and are batting first, with the openers Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique providing yet another 50-run stand.

The two were dismissed in quick succession by Taijul Islam who has troubled the Pakistani batters the most across the two Tests. Pakistan started Day 2 with the scoreboard reading 161/2, but persistent rains meant that only seven overs of play was possible on a rather damp day.

Captain Babar Azam and experienced middle-order batter Azhar Ali have reached fifties, and will start the proceedings on Day 3 with Pakistan sitting comfortably at 188/2.
