Australia backtracks from its recognition of West Jerusalem as capital of Israel

In a stunning blow to the wicked Israeli plans, the Australian Foreign Ministry has reversed its decision of accepting the West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Six months after the previous prime minister Scott Morrison was sent home, the newly installed Australian government has decided to reverse the decision of the former government.

Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong said that Australia would always be a friend of Israel but it wanted a two-way solution with Israel and Palestine living peacefully with each other with globally-accepted borders.

Australia, under its last government, had taken a new route on its policy on the Middle East and accepted the West Jerusalem but had publicly stated that it would not move its embassy right away. The reversal in the decision lands a huge blow to the oppressive Israeli state.
