Army more important for Pakistan than me, says Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan addressed the nation through a Twitter Space. He said that the army was more important for Pakistan than him. Khan added that the PTI had never defamed the armed forces and worked to strengthen the institution.

The former prime minister said that the system needed to change in Pakistan as a criminal gang was imposed on Pakistan. He recalled the PTI tenure and regretted that coalition parties blackmailed him throughout that period. Khan appealed to the nation to elect him with a two-thirds majority for a strong independent government.

During the address, he called out the newly appointed federal cabinet for having members who are on bail. Regarding economical conditions during his tenure, he said the PTI’s government had increased the exports and had the highest remittances rate.
