Imran claims American official Donald Lu involved in no-confidence motion

ISLAMABAD: During the top leadership meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan said that American official Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu conveyed the threatening message to topple his government.

As per the claim by Mr Khan, Lu warned Asad Majeed – the then ambassador of implications if the no-confidence motion failed against him. He added that the motion was a result of a foreign conspiracy and openly blamed America for meddling in the internal affairs of Pakistan.

Earlier on Sunday, the no-confidence motion was dismissed by Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri on grounds of a foreign conspiracy.
