KARACHI: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) announced on Sunday that no disruption in services was recorded during or after the cyberattack on the servers of the bank.
“All transactions, both financial (ATM cash withdrawal, 1IBFT – inter-bank funds transfer and bill payments) and non-financial (balance inquiry, title fetch and bill inquiry) are completely functional and safe,” said the officials in a statement.
The bank claims that it recorded the usual volume of transactions, and the 1LINK and all banking operations were working smoothly.
NBP said that all customers could access all services like ATMs, POS terminals, internet banking, mobile banking, OTC and other digital means without any interruption.
Earlier on Saturday, according to some reports, the bank had experienced a cyberattack resulting in disruption in some of its services.
