Nearly 75mn people fully vaccinated, says Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Planning Minister and the head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Asad Umar took to Twitter to announce on Tuesday that 100 million people had received at least one dose with around 75mn people fully vaccinated against the virus.

He was, however, quick to realise that more work was needed to be done.

According to the NCOC, 811,901 vaccines were administered across the country during the last 24 hours, adding that 33 per cent of the total population was vaccinated against Covid-19. Meanwhile, the statistics shared by the NCOC indicate a slight decline in the number of people tested positive for the virus.

NCOC shared on Twitter that 1,467 people tested positive out of the total 43,540 tests conducted. The positivity ratio was recorded at 3.33pc. Two deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and 615 people remain in critical care.
